From the selection of our materials to production, we place great importance on sustainability. We work closely with suppliers who share our values and offer environmentally friendly materials. In addition, we rely on resource-saving production processes to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible.

But sustainability does not only mean environmental protection for us. We also want to ensure that our employees are treated fairly and can work under good conditions. That is why we are committed to social responsibility.

SUSA is STeP by OEKO-TEX® certified. Unlike many other standards, with a certification according to STeP by OEKO-TEX®, it is not the products themselves that are tested, but the conditions under which they are produced.

The STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification requires compliance with six different modules, which are relevant for the implementation of sustainable manufacturing and working conditions: chemicals and their use, environmental performance, environmental management, social responsibility, quality management, as well as health protection and occupational safety.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a globally recognized certification system for textiles. It was developed to ensure that textile products have been tested for harmful substances and are therefore safe for human use. The standard sets limits for various harmful substances and includes comprehensive testing along the entire supply chain.

PLANT-MY-TREE® offers companies the opportunity to get involved in environmental and climate protection in a simple and sustainable way. PLANT-MY-TREE® contributes to carbon offsetting through reforestation projects and thus to environmental and climate protection throughout Germany. Precisely here, where the majority of our CO2 emissions also occur.

We at SUSA believe that climate and environmental protection concerns us all, and it is all the more important to think about tomorrow today and to leave a livable world for future generations.

As a company, it is important for us to act in an environmentally conscious manner and to minimize our ecological footprint. The conversion of our vehicle fleet to e-mobility is a significant step in this direction. We are convinced that by using e-mobility, we can not only protect the environment but also save costs in the long term. When acquiring new vehicles, we generally consider the use of hybrid or electric vehicles. We are committed to finding sustainable solutions and look forward to making our contribution to environmental protection.

In our company, we have switched all fire extinguishers to PFAS-free models. This means we completely do without the use of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), which are considered difficult to break down and can be a burden for humans and the environment.

Through this conversion, our fire extinguishers meet the highest current environmental and safety standards. At the same time, we make an important contribution to protecting the health of our employees as well as to reducing pollutants in the environment.

With this measure, we are sending another signal of our clear commitment to sustainability, safety, and responsibility – today and for future generations.
